Please join us for our biggest Painting Project at The Children's Home of Reading on September 14, 2021, as we celebrate the United Way Day of Caring. We are looking for volunteer groups of at least 6 (small) and 12 (large) to help us paint the Residential Treatment Facility buildings.

The Residential Treatment Facility Program (RTF) offers 24/7 residential treatment programming, under the direction of a Psychiatrist, for youth dealing with severe emotional, mental health, or behavioral issues that make a home environment inappropriate. The children and youth in the RTF program spend a lot of their time at the treatment units while they seek mental health services to recover from their conditions. Your support is crucial to help us make their stay and recovery journey as welcoming as possible. 

Volunteers will be disbursed across the entire facility and on different floors. Duties will be prepping the rooms/floors. - painting rooms, hallways, common areas, kitchen areas, and nurse's station. - basic cutting/tapping skills - Cleaning - ability to stand and move around for few hours.
