You Make a Difference

When you support The Children’s Home of Reading, you are telling over 4,000 children and their families every year, that they have someone in their corner who believes in them and wants to help them get the help they need during a tough time in their life.

You are investing in their future. Together, we can increase the number of children who can learn the tools to break past barriers and reach their full potential to be able to give back and help others.

Finding your way to best support children & families in crisis.

We rely on you to help us to continue providing programs and services to improve the lives of children and families, when they need help the most.

In-Kind Gifts & Wish List

Not everyone can give a monetary gift but we always have a need for new items within our programs and that is kept on our wish list.

Starting in August we begin our annual Holiday Gift Drive and we are always looking for some very special elves who can help fill the needs of our children and families.

Prepare for Your Future and Ours

Do you want to do something today to support The Children’s Home of Reading in a meaningful way without writing a check? Regardless of the uncertain economy, your current cash flow, or your age, you can create a powerful legacy of hope for over 1,100 children and families each year.

How to Make a Planned Gift?

The process of making a provision in your will or trust for The Children’s Home of Reading is easy. Consider naming The Children’s Home of Reading as the beneficiary or your will or living trust.  Or you can name The Children’s Home of Reading as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or a retirement plan, like an IRA, that you already have. By simply updating your estate plan or contacting your life insurance company or retirement plan administrator, you ensure that The Children’s Home of Reading will be able to fulfill its mission to serve children for generations to come. And because these gifts are revocable, you can also make changes to your gift as needed if your circumstances change over time.

What Will Your Legacy Be?

A Planned Gift is more than a financial decision that can result in significant tax savings. It is a personal statement about who you are and what you care about in life. Your Planned Gift to The Children’s Home of Reading will save children’s lives, move families forward, and go where the need is greatest and allow you to establish your own legacy of giving children help, hope, and opportunity.

Gifts of Appreciated Stocks or Other Personal Assets

Make a gift that costs you less than the benefit it provides to The Children’s Home of Reading by donating your appreciated stocks or other personal assets. You can provide generous support for our vital programs and services, take an immediate tax deduction for the value of the asset and avoid paying capital gains taxes.
