Interacting with Police: A Virtual Training with individuals with Autism(and/or IDD)

The Berks County Mental Health/Developmental Disability Program (MHDD) has

partnered with the ASERT Collaborative to provide this FREE valuable training.

Together with a local police department, this training will enable individuals with

autism (and/or IDD) to learn how to safely interact with police officers. A brief

PowerPoint Presentation will explain what is the law, what is a police officer, the Do’s

and Don’ts for safely interacting with police, as well as language a police officer may

use. Time will be allotted for a question and answer session.

Resources and Training (ASERT) Collaborative. Kate is a former Juvenile Probation

Officer, and a mom of a son with autism.
